Dear Friends of Lowcountry Preparatory School,

The upcoming end of the calendar year reminds us that donations to the Annual Fund are tax deductible for the 2019 tax return, in accordance with state and federal law.  So, consider donating prior to January 1, 2020.  Several parents have asked where the money goes.  Good question.  In our case, and in the case of the average independent school, the money goes directly into the operating budget.  But that is still not a sufficient answer, is it?  What are the top line items in the operating budget?  Again, the answer is the same for the average independent school: the biggest line item is salaries.  In short, then, your unrestricted donation to the Annual Fund chiefly helps pay the salaries of our talented teachers.  You should know, however, that compensation regularly earns the lowest score on the recurring workplace satisfaction surveys.  On the bright side, that marks a compelling reason to give!  Yet, what else does the annual fund donation cover?  Take a look at the varies levels you can contribute to your school.  In the end, every dollar you give moves our students and our school forward.  Please give generously.  Your child's education and our school are well worth it!
